About The Site

Welcome to the new version of Gisele Bundchen Fan.com! This website originally launched in 2008, as a tribute to my one of my favorite models, Gisele. I couldn’t find any good galleries out there at that time, so I decided to build one myself.

The entire site is powered by a brand new backend (we switched from Expression Engine to WordPress), and has several new features:

• Easier-to-browse gallery, which now features more extensive categories. For example, when viewing Editorials, you can view ALL editorials, or filter them to only view, say, Vogue editorials. This ‘filtering’ by subcategories is available in Editorials, Candids, and Runway. Also, galleries can now belong to more than one category. Overall I hope these improvements will make it easier to find what you’re looking for in our extensive 20,000+ photo gallery!
• Comments on all galleries – you can now comment on the photos in the galleries, discuss Gisele’s style, vent your opinion about her latest projects and so on!
• Improved caching engine that will make the site run faster without losing any dynamic features (which the old caching engine did do).
• Better integration with Twitter, Facebook, etc, by using WordPress plugins – yay social media!
• Integration with Yahoo’s Smush-It engine, which reduces images’ file size while retaining image quality, making the photos load faster for you.

I hope to add other new features soon – one thing I’m working on, is enabling member accounts for visitors, and the ability to then save favorite galleries or photos to your account.
